I wish I could tell you more about mine.
It’s been at the dealer since October 5th. with Frame Structural defect from the factory.
If and when I get it back I’ll let you know.

I had this happen on a service call. Customers fridge would work and some 110 outlets. A/C and microwave did not work. I checked the post and found only one hot leg on the 50amp service. Same post had a 30amp plugin that I then used an adapter to and everything worked fine.

37'10" long and only an 8975 GVWR according to Jayco. I think I'd be nervous about what they didn't put in it to get that low of a weight in an almost 38' TT.

My concern exactly...I'm not sure what to do with that info. Based upon my previous Jayco experience I trust the company but...

I have sent a message to Jayco customer care to see if they have a good answer. I've looked at the comparable length Jay flight and they have a GVWR of 10,950 which makes more sense for a ~38' trailer. We'll see, the more I think about this the colder my feet get. Thanks for reminding me of this...it got lost in the new camper fever.

They all measure this way and other comparable ~38' TTs have a GVWR of 10-11k lbs

GVWR sticker should be pasted to the outside of the TT along with the tire info. It's entirely possible that the TT was under recall involving under axle'd trailers. Something else to check as well.

There is a switch for the fireplace, and I bet that's why the water heater didn't work...I may tear things apart this weekend to see if the old wire to the water heater gets power if the fireplace switch is "off". In our case the switch for the fireplace is nowhere near the main control panel for the rest of the stuff, it is on the side of the cabinet above the fireplace. I'm going to be so mad if that is what was going wrong, it was a real pain to pull a new wire!

In answer to the OP's original question, we love our 2019 White Hawk...but we've had our share of small issues. The non-functioning water heater (on electric, worked on gas), some loose screws here and there, bathroom door wouldn't latch because the catch plate was installed about 1/2" too high, and a random loose wire terminal on the converter circuit leading to 12V problems (intermittant flickering lights and radio, random loss of power trying to move slideout). The dealer is really far and has terrible service hours, so I've fixed all of this stuff myself pretty easily.
Spent some quality time digging behind the cabinet covers and electrical panel this weekend, and I confirmed that the fireplace switch does indeed switch power between the fireplace and electric side of the water heater. Removed the rewiring "fix" and put it back to the original factory wiring after confirming this. I had to call the dealer for another slideout issue, so I told their service manager about it as well so the next person doesn't have such a hard time of it!

Thanks again for sharing this Ohiofinlander!

What is the defect?

I had this issue:

https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...ger-56615.html

Reason I bring it back up is because a factory rep came down and repaired it. This was just last summer. I was poking around the trailer last week making some measurements for a mod and noticed the new welds are cracked. Clearly poor welds on the repaid.

Something to keep an eye on.

We are going to look at a Jay Flight 28BHS and a White Hawk 29Bh tomorrow, I’ll see if the White Hawk is really worth $5k more. They look nice!

We are enjoying ours! You will have to decide if it's worth the extra dough.

We just put down a deposit on a 29BH, we went to confirm that we wanted the Jay flight 28BHS but the bedroom on the White Hawk was so much better, and it was only $1100 more.

Try to get one with 50amp service so you can add extra A/C if needed. I use both my A/Cs when its hot and in the sun.

Congrats on the soon to be your new White Hawk. The outside kitchen rocks! I have the bumper mounted grill and it works great with the outside kitchen and table that comes with the White Hawk. I found that when leveling the camper I have the Door Side a bit high so the A/C will drain off the Off Door Side of camper. If you dont do this, when your cooking on the grill the gutter will have a constant drip from A/C and get you wet.

THat switch is because you have 30 amp service, and yes, it is either the water heater, or the fireplace. That was one of the reasons why we got the 50amp service. The 50 amp rigs do not have that switch. One less switch to verify. I am thinking that that GFCI outlet with the reset could just be bad.

Yes, if you have a 30Amp coach, you have to switch between the fireplace or the water heater. On the 50amp coaches, there is no switch, other than a switch to turn on the water heater. Most of the time, power issues are really easy to fix. I learned the hard way about the GFCI (Ours is in the bathroom). As far as our tongue jack, it has a circuit breaker, so if it does trip, that will reset in about 5 minutes. Really wish they would just make them all the same. Right now, our 32RL is in the shop for the SMART controller not working. Dealer had to contact Jayco, as they cannot seem to locate it. Oh the fun of RV ownership! Anyway, take care, and happy camping to all.
