any Eagle 316RKDS owners?

I bought a 2013 316rkds last fall, to be towed with a 2013 f150 3.5 eco, max tow. my concern is the tongue weight (1150#). the hitch has a rating of 1050#. why is the tongue weight so high on that model of trailer compare to other eagles....do any owners of this model actually weigh the tongue ?

You can buy a higher rated hitch. The real question is if you will be over your payload capacity. Jayco says 7240 dry with 1150. That's nearly 16%. With the kitchen, pantry, and tanks in the rear the hitch weight may actually go down as you load it.

I would definatly recomend it. Very nice and comfortable.
P.S. I traded it in on a 5th wheel so i can tow my boat behind.

we've owned ours for 2 yrs almost. I love the floorplan but the bedroom is ridiculously tight. trying to change the sheets on the bed is a chore. also don't care for the way the bathroom closet opens, would rather it opened towards the shower. otherwise, love the space in the back of the unit. very roomy
