Any info on Eagle TT dependability

New to this forum. About to buy a travel trailer. Was looking at Airstream and got Jayco info emailed to me from them as well as Airstream. Love the Airstreams, but very pricey. Wondering what the dependability of the Jayco's are from anyone who owns one. Looking now at an Eagle (bumper pull) 33 footer. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, I cannot answer to the latest models produced, however we purchased a used 2011 Eagle SuperLight 318RLS in March of 2018.
WE LOVE IT. The layout is perfect for my wife and I and is so very comfortable when camping for 2 days or even a week or more.
The workmanship, decor, features of this TT is more than I expected when we looked at this unit.
It tows well behind my 2016 Ram. (All-be-it that we generally camp within a two hour range from our home. )

Welcome to the forum and happy trailer shopping.

Most of us on this site believe that the Jayco brand offers good 'bang for the buck.'

As you've seen, Airstream's are pricey but if you search you'll find that the higher RV prices don't equal no problems.

We have a 2018 Eagle HT and its been very good. A few minor issues with some trim coming off (staples), but easily fixed.

I have a laundry list of upgrades that I want to do – but that's not a reflection of overall build quality.

BroRobin's comments pretty much are shared by us. Out 2011 320RLDS has been without any problems through about three years of our living in it as snowbirds and weekend camping plus around 15,000 miles of towing.

We're about to put it on the market and someone will get a good deal.

The Airstream is in another class, both in design and cost. The Eagle is going to give you floor space, slide outs and lots of amenities.

The Airstream is all about design, and quality of build. People who are interested in an Airstream usually are not looking for what other brands offer like an Eagle.

How much are you going to ask for it? I'm in the market for one.

We have a 2017 291rsts, we love it. After 18 months we took it in for its only warranty work. Jayco sticker on front cap has a lot of chips from bugs, other decals on front are fine...

Tows great, sets up fast, great layout, lots of storage, big tanks.

Your best defense against a bad purchase, regardless which make you purchase, is a thorough inspection (exterior included) before you sign for the trailer. This includes the entire roof area, to include all the seams. Also, check all the visible frame welds, underbelly, suspension, etc. Open and close every drawer and door. Open and close every window and slide. Operate every appliance and switch. Yes, sounds like overkill and it will take most of the day. And, yes, most dealerships will think you're crazy. While you're doing the inspection you'll be thinking what could be wrong with this beautiful trailer. Don't fall for it--there are NO Toyotas in the RV world--lol! Bottom line, the dealership is much, much more likely to fix anything you find within 24 hours if they have a sale on the line. After you drive off the lot . . . well, who knows.

We used to own a 2018 Jayco Eagle HT 306RKDS (33 ft.). Our 4th new TT. All 4 were from different manufacturers. In terms of quality our 306RKDS wasn't any worse, or any better, than our other TT's.

Good luck!
