I may have missed it somehow. Not the biggest door to get your head into. I just remember seeing the clearance light wiring wrapped in wire loom.

Is the 120 volt romex in conduit or protected in someway? It seems code would require it to be. Wireman

If I remember correctly the outlets under the bed and the dinette area are protected with a wood backing. Not sure if there is any exposed wiring.

In the storage area, with that romex exposed, it seems suspect to me how they can wire it that way and it not be prone to future damage, it being a storage area.

Definitely not up to code in a residential dwelling. JMO. Wireman

Romex. It's not enclosed in anything, not sure it needs to be since this is not living space. Although I am not a code expert.

Here's a photo.

rkresge, I don't remember seeing anything like that on the unit I looked at. Again I just might not have been seeing everything.

Just seems weird they cover the 12 volt wiring and leave the 120 volt exposed.

Like you, I'm not a code expert. I'm sure Jayco knows what is spec & what isn't.

Good Morning,
Any updates on how your units are performing? We purchased a 23RLSW and should be picking it up middle to the end of April. Can you give us a heads up on anything we should really focus on during pick up?

Jay Farley, Still waiting on my 23RLSW. Ordered late December. Hopefully by mid April.

When did you order your unit?

Take plenty of time during your PDI. Is this your 1st RV? Wireman

Jay, mine is still holding down its space in our driveway, waiting for late April or no later than early May to hit the road for the first time. However, so far no bugs that I can see. Can't wait to get out camping - we've got a fairly full schedule planned through the end of September, possibly later.

Well Jay we have had ours out 5 times since we picked it up the end of November.

So far we have had ZERO issues we are VERY pleased with the trailer. We are going in May for two weeks then we will know for sure.

Oh I did upgrade the tires but just for piece of mind I went to a load range D tire.

Glad to hear it is preforming well. .... Wiseman the dealer had it on order not sure when it was placed. They tell us it is scheduled off the line April 4th and should be here within a couple weeks after. We are taking them at their word as we plan to be camping on the eastern shore the 2nd week of May.

Where are you going first trip out close to home? I would suggest driveway first for a night to make sure no big problems.

Then go and have fun and make some memories!

Cool. DW and I are getting ready for our first outing with the 23RLSW next weekend. De-winterized it on Sunday. Can't wait!
