what! I can't tow with a bucket over my power jack?

Can or can't is your choice.

My choice is not risking having my 5 gallon water transfer bucket disappear.

Then relocate itself through somebody's windshield.

That is what BUNGEE cords are for... believe it or not on a trip to Sturgis riding the bike we went by a guy with 2 bikes in his trailer (it was a trailer in that it was trailing the "van") on kickstands and what was "holding" his motorcycles at 80mph??? 8 bungee cords... I can still see the trailer and the white van in my head... scary stuff...

brilliant

Thank you for the 5 gallon bucket idea. I love it! My horses are in the pasture with my camper, and they leave it alone, except one of the liked to scratch his neck on the electric jack. this has worked perfect for protecting it! who knew!

At my house a bucket would be one more place for the paper Wasps to build a nest. Every year they start a nest under my propane tank covers and under my vent covers ! One year the were in the hollow splitting wedge of my wood splitter !!

I tow my TT with a truck. When I get ready to break camp, I curl up my door mat and put it in my 5 gal. bucket (water, dirt, leaves etc stay in bucket). Then I remove my BAL wheel chocks and put them and the wrench in bucket. Then I put my gloves in the bucket and put the bucket in the bed of my truck. When I get to my next campsite, I reverse the process, then put the bucket over my power jack.

Condenstation

I bought one from Camper World and when it is on the camper in my yard, I get condensation under the cover and a wet jack head

Question, Wouldn't the bucket moving on the head of the jack wear it out? Where my camper sits in the summer when it storms the wind blows perpendicular to the camper. I would not want to have the bucket moving back and forth causing damage.

I had the same problem. That's why I use a bucket and change my safety chains from the bucket handle.

The bucket has worked for me so far, but I am a newbie!!! so, we will see! It has kept the horse from turning the switches off and on by rubbing on it.

Never noticed any where after over 6 years covering with a bucket. I tuck the cable head up there to keep it out of the weather.

To keep it in place I use a bungee cord to keep it tight.

Only time mine is not covered is when we are on the road.
It is covered at the campground and at home.

I never even thought about covering the power jack. A person would have to use a breathable material to not get the condensate. Is the point to keep the motor dry, or protect the rubber parts from UV rays? There are UV protectants for rubber parts at the parts store. The motor looks like it is sealed up good as long as the rubber parts stay intact. Maybe all that was covered that in earlier posts.
