Anyone have a 24FBS?

Do you have a 24FBS that you enjoy? Hardly ever read any comments about one on this forum.Looking for mods and improvements you have made so we can do more good mods to ours. Tell me the TT's best and worst features and your favorite mod. Pics would really be helpful. Thanks much! Jeff & Di.

I have a 2011 jay flight 24FBS , packing it today for a 4 or 5 month trip out West. Love the set up, pulling it with an F150 eco boost.
Haven't done much to it but have changed out the lights to l.e.d. (17 in all),
bought a mattress topper for the queen bed, added a second battery and a battery switch. We hike, fish, and bike ride so we needed lots of storage space.
Like the fact had it's only 24', fits into state and national parks better than the bigger campers.
This is the first long trip we are about to start with it but have done several weekends in it with good results. Good luck with yours, hopefully some one else will answer with more ideas on mods.

We have a 2014 24FBS, but haven't taken it out on a maiden camping trip yet as we bought it in February. We also really like the layout (at least thus far!) and that it is smaller and more manageable to tow and park.

Are pulling with a F150 V8 and we looked at units from 21 to 26 feet. The 21-22 footers just seemed a bit too cramped for us and the 26 foot length made us a bit nervous for towing with our current trailer. So the 24FBS seemed a good compromise. Ours is an "Elite" version and has the thermal package, upgraded fridge, ladder on the back, LED lights on the awning and some other goodies I can't recall off hand.

We plan to load it up today in prep for a short overnight trip next weekend and then a full long weekend after that.

I stumbled across this owner review when we were RV shopping and found it helpful. You might too. I hope its OK to post a link to another forum, but it is a very thorough review.

I don't have a 24fbs, but it is the floor plan that works best for us. I think that it is the perfect couples trailer. We seen a couple of Jayflights today at an RV show that had fiberglass exterior walls with frameless windows. Looked really nice.

NWBMAC- You're correct. It is a perfect couples trailer (and maybe a dog too!). Everything we will ever need in this one, as this is my fourth and last TT. We also have the upgraded Elite package with all options included except for the fiberglass siding and an outside grill (already had one). Love the Thermal Package with the enclosed underbelly and also the 15K A/C. Would highly recommend the Equalizer weight distribution 10,000 lb. hitch with 4 anti-sway points. That WDH is fabulous and really does the job!
Good luck with your choice...the 24FBS is SUPER!!!

We also have a 2013 24FBS and we love it. My only complaint is the J steel sofa is a little straight and uncomfortable, I'm hopping to modify it this spring if possible, will let you no how I get on with it. But all in all it does seem to be an excellent trailer.

We bought a 2014 24FBS last summer and we love it. In retrospect I wish we had gotten the Elite package, but that is water under the bridge. We haven't made any mods to it, yet, but plan to upgrade the mattress and install a tornado in the black tank, to start camping season this year.

I'm not sure if ours has the elite package or not, it does have the extra large fresh water tank and the built in black tank flush out. I would also like to change all our lights to LED in the spring

We have a 2015 24fbs. Bought it in August. Great trailer for the two of us. It is not the elite pkg. but has glacier and technology pkg. with bumper grill and 15k A/C.
We will update mattress with a topper and thinking about a dream dinette as our grand child comes with us at times. Will put the black tank flush in this spring. As I drive by the storage each day, I miss it. We sold 2006 23' airstream in July cause it was too small.

Thanks Silverark. It looks like I have the thermal and technology packages but not the elite. Ah well,
A water filter install would be a good thing to do I think, also maybe a mattress topper and a battery disconnect,
Lots to do in the spring!

New owner of a 2014 fbs. New owner of a travel trailer period. My wife and I love it so far. We have taken it out twice and so far so good. After looking for about 2 months and over 2 dozen trailers, it is the perfect floor plan for us. We did immediately put a 2" memory foam on the bed, now very comfortable. The only real frustration is Jaycos owners manuals are for ****. Thank goodness for u tube and this forum. I'm trying not to let it be too overwhelming and I am sure there are still a few mistakes to make. In general we love it and have many getaways planned.
