Anyone mount spare tire under TT ?
I hate the look of the spare tire mounted on the back bumper of the TT.
Can these be mounted under the TT on the frame ? If so how.

I have seen some TT spare tires mounted under the A-frame, but in doing so one added tongue weight.
The other problem mounting underneath is ground clearance, depending on where it might be located.

My 29QBH is mounted under. Came from the factory this way. There is a frame and winch system to secure it and release it when necessary.
My previous 26BH was on the bumper. Looked into going under, but there really wasn't a spot large enough. Most space between the frame rails was used for holding tanks.

Mine is mounted under the tongue and even with the low ground clearance of the 23B I've only had one instance of it rubbing. The usual culprit...low dip in the pavement at a gas station. No damage other than some missing paint.

My 2012 298 eagle t/t has the spare factory mounted underneath, between the frame, just behinds rear axle. It has a hole by ear door, and a crank is provided. Tons of pickkups have the same system.

Same here, no issues to date but I keep forgetting air it up when I do the rest of the tires.

Mine came with an under mount but I moved it to the bumper. Had a flat on I-95 coming out of a Baltimore tunnel. My SUV spare was mounted underneath. Had a suit on. It was raining cats and dogs. Learned my lesson well.

Throw a Tyvek bunny suit in your car for just such emergencies. Or you can carry your truck or SUV spare around in the bed like my brother in law does.
