Are satellite ports working?

Our first TT's exterior/interior sat. ports didn't produce a picture, so we ran coax from the sat dish into the trailer. The DISH installer told us those ports were about 50/50. I'm wondering how Jayco owners' ports are working for them.

I have not done it, but my understanding is that you just had to remove the Winegard amp plate and you were just fine. They have used RG6 in them for many years so the wiring was not a problem.

I see that you have a '11 on order. I was just at a show and all the '11 models I saw were specifically prewired for a sat system. There is a jumper by each TV outlet that you move if you want SAT instead of ANTenna.

'11 --- lucky you!!

Here is the pic of the new TV setup...I know it is hard to see, but the jumper is to the left...this is in a 2011 26BH

It appears they have the same old Jensen stereo system in the `11.

Yep...wonder if it has the same feature as my '09 Jensen?

If you turn on the light over the table, the reception goes way down and you get a lot of static. If you then turn the opposite light on over the sink, the reception comes back. I have not figured out the purpose of that feature yet, maybe I need to read the manual.

Well like old Casey Kasem says - "Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars."

:dunce: I have no idea what made me think of that...

If you have questions about where all of the RG6, speaker wires, antenna wires, sat in wires, etc., really go, call Jayco and ask them to email you a wiring diagram. I did and it made figuring out how to hook things up so easy. My dealer didn't have this diagram, but Jayco emailed to me in a couple of minutes of my phone call.

Asking for that wiring diagram before I need it sounds like a plan. Thanks everyone. BTW, our unit was due to come off the line day before yesterday.

My setup is like the picture and you have to be sure the antenna booster button is off if not using the antenna or it interferes with the picture.

I'd never have figured that out. Thanks.
