Are stock vents pre-wired

Just got a 31 RLDS Elite with two stock vents. I'm thinking about putting in some Maxair powered vents. Does Jayco have 12v power run to these vent locations? IF not what have others done to get power?

If a power vent was an option there is usually wiring there. If not then you can sometimes easily fish wiring over from a nearby light as long as they are not switched at the wall.

Mine was not wired. I ran wires through the roof to my electric switches by the door and tapped in there. It was a pain, but after 30 minutes of trying to fish the wires through, I did it. You could tap into a nearby light, but if like mine they are on a switch by the door, the light switch will need to be turned on in order to operate the fan. I wanted the fan to always be hot, not needing the light switch to be on. That is why I ran the wires to the box.

You will probably will have to fish wires. Pull the vent housing out and you will see there is a fair amount of space between the roof and the ceiling. The hard part is trying to figure out where to get power from. spend a few days poking around looking for a power source, such as a kitchen light, stereo cabinet, bathroom, refrigerator compartment. In our HTT there is a false panel in our pantry that is a wire chase, it makes the pantry about 2-3 inches shallower, you almost do not even notice it.

Thanks, sounds doable, the vent is next to a light and about 3ft from the control panel.
