Atwood 10 gal water heater.
Hi folks,
I have yet another question for you experts. As I was exploring my new trailer today, I noticed a tag on the kitchen faucet mentioning '18 gallon per hour quick recovery '
Please forgive my ignorance, but what exactly does this mean? Thanks in advance.
Btw.. When I opened up the outside hatch on the water heater, I noticed there was no drain plug installed. Is that how they ship these things normally?

Lots of questions. How did you get a new trailer without a PDI? That refers to the water heater. Mine was full of hot water and checked out fully before we left the dealers lot!
Mine is another brand so I can't help with the drain plug question.

I don't have the trailer yet. It's at the dealership, but I'm not closing on it until spring just before they deliver it. I realize I'll get all my questions answered at the PDI. I was there today putting more $$ down and just checking it out. They handed me the keys and I putzed around in it for an hour or so.
So I'm full of questions after exploring today! Lol!
I know it's the water heater, I'm assuming the it can heat 18 gallons an hour if I'm understanding that tag right.

I believe that means you have a 10 gallon tank but can use up to 18 gallons in an hour with the quick recovery of the heater. As for the plug being out, not sure unless it was winterized and left out.

Yes, it is winterized as noted in a sticker on the kitchen sink. I guess they left the plug out as you can see in the pic.
Thanks for the responses. Ok, no more crazy questions or sideways pictures until I go through my PDI and take delivery! Lol!

Ask any questions you like. Its advantageous to be informed before your PDI so you know what they are talking about and can verify IF THEY know what they are talking about!

It probably refers to running it on gas and electric together. That is how the output can be increased.

Thanks Crabman! Now that I've had the opportunity to poke around in the unit, I guess I'm getting pretty excited. I can't wait to get the season started.
I've been scouring the web for info on RV electrical systems, plumbing, heating, etc.. Trying to learn as much as possible prior to taking delivery.

You'll love the Atwood 10 gal water heater. We have one in our Eagle and can take full showers just like home. No "navy" showers here. Congrats on the new unit.

Well that changes everything! Most all I have seen come new already winterized. Enjoy the rig if you don't go nuts waiting over the winter.
We have the 10 gallon Suburban and it never runs out of hot water.

I'm hearing the 10 gal units do nicely! Even though the CG has nicely appointed shower facilities, I always prefer my own shower.
