Atwood Water Heater Leak

Just bought remodeled 2007 Jayco Flight 32 FSK. Was blaming toilet for leak...Now, I see it is water heater (I keep turning off water). Ok. Took pictures. Talked with "expert"..Guess what? Bypass valve has NO handle. So tried to use pliers...do not think pliers worked. Leak is still there. Water still comes out of hot side (cold). The repair man said he turned on all valves. I emptied water heater ONCE..so how do I know when by pass is turned enough? Tried to find a replacement at RV parts place..no. Atwood heater. 2007. I can do without hot water for a bit (until Winter) used to heating water. BUT hate leaks. Ok. Tried again. No water coming from hot water side (just air). Ok. found this set with more handles. Is this the sink faucet that is NEW, replaced by "remodeling ex contractor grandpa".

Atwood Water Heater Leak

Those look like 90 degree valves so should only have to turn 90 degree to open or close. If valve is parallel to pipe is open and perpendicular to the pipe it’s closed.

Aah..those corner black cutoffs belong to fill tank..toilet will not fill. But, no leaking. SO, those lines leak ONLY when toilet fills. Hmmm

I deleted my bypass valve all together. ( Its pretty useless really, for my use of the camper) and used shark fittings. (very easy). Got rid of all the silly plastic elbows and crimp clamps.

Not sure why the pics are sideways

Lol tu che, I live in the camper about 8 months out of each year for work. So yes I never have to "winterize" the trailer because it never gets "stored"

I'm probably overlooking the obvious......, but why did you place the open/close valve on the HWH discharge in lieu of the cold water supply inlet?

I moved back to NE Texas. Live fulltime in RV. But never bought a remodeled one before. Thinking of removing this useless device and buying On Demand
