Awning

I have a 2015 jayflght 28bhbe. Anyone know who the manufacturer of the power awning is and or to find replacement parts. Fabric is fine, have a bent arm and bad shock.

Thank you in advance

A maybe a Carefree Travl'r.
Go to their webpage and look at pics and drawings to confirm.

I have a call into my dealer for my 287BHSW bent idler arm, as well. When I find out more I'll let you know. I believe it's part number R001839BLK for the black, rear arm assembly.

From this page:
https://www.e-carefree.com/ecarefree...?productId=146

The Travl'r is not adjustable but the Longitude is.

Good luck.

Got my arm today for my camper. It's part number R001839BLK (Jayco part number 0273727) from Carefree. It's the 'Longitude, 1/2, back, adj, blk.' I ordered it from my dealer and Carefree drop-shipped it to the house.

I got it cheaper from the dealer than Carefree direct, $320 out the door.

Do any of you on this thread have the old bent arms ? I am in need of just this one piece circled from either the idler or motor side.

Sorry, mine got wadded up. That part is what gets wadded up on most awning accidents.

I was not and based on what I saw from disassembly getting all that back together was going to be a hassle and problematic. I ordered the whole arm with the motor and swapout was easy. I did remove the motor from the broken one and saved that in case I ever have the motor die.

Were did you get the arm from and how was it to install?? I opened mine this weekend and had a egg corn ( the nut from a oak tree) stuck in the arm yesterday morning when getting ready to pack up I noticed the arm was bent. Now looking for replacement parts and do I call the insurance man to make a claim. Need help with finding parts.

Thank you,
Alan

Ordered it off Ebay since I had some ebay bucks. Install was quite easy actually. It was a two person job since the awning had to be supported and moved into place during install. Total cost was about $280. After I swapped it I also disassembled the old arm and kept the motor just in case the motor ever went bad in the future.

No spring in mine. The gas shocks in the arms provide the tension. Install time was about 1-1.5 hour for me. I was raised with legos and tinker toys however so my assembly skills are off the charts.

That exact piece snapped on me right where the rivet comes through in
the center.
Dealer is covering it under warranty, already have the entire assembly in, waiting for me to get it there.
That individual piece is not available.
