2017 Jayco Whitehawk 31BHBS....yesterday I was closing the awning and didn’t realize that the grill was in the way. Bent the one awning arm. Anyone know if I can replace just this one piece of the awning hardware? Thnx.

Yup, I’ve had three replaced unfortunately. None of them were user error, those arms are super thin and bend if you look at them funny.

Same thing just happened to mine. Did they give you a part number? I've scoured the inter-webs and can only find the whole assembly. Not just the bent part.

All three times my dealer had the service guy replace the whole arm assembly. It was a super straight forward process. It took two guys, one to hold the arm assembly because it’s under a little pressure from the gas struts. He disconnected it from the awning tube, the other guy held the awning tube while the second guy disconnected the bent arm and took the lag screws out of the wall that held it on. He then grabbed the new arm, squirted a bit of Dicor on the screw holes, slapped the arm in place of the old one, connected it to the awning tube again, then replaced the screws. Once everything was back together he ran it in and out and checked that it was level. Shook hands with me and said “see you next time this crappy thing breaks”...they know they are junk too lol

I cant believe it. This is exactly what I came here to ask. My left-side awning arm is getting ready to break. A bowed bottom assembly and a crack on the top assembly.

My 2016 Jay-Feather is out of warranty. It does seem like a simple repair that I would turn into much more than necessary. Does anyone know how to find the part number w/o calling Jayco?

Good one! I still get chills when a gust of wind blows outside on a warm sunny day. If I see a blade of grass start to sway my awning comes in. I’m pretty sure these arms are about the thickness of aluminum foil folded over itself.
