Awning Cleaning

Anyone have any tips on how to clean this awful mildew off of the underside of the awning?

Garden sprayer, 1 1/2 cups or so of bleach, a couple squirts of Dawn, fill with water. Spray awning thoroughly, roll up and let sit for 20 to 30 minutes. Open and rinse.

Be sure to wear old clothes and watch your eyes.
