Awning lights

Hello new here, bought a 2010 Jayco jayflight 32bhds…. I’m trying to figure out how to install/wire some led lights under my awning but idk where to start or where to get power. I was thinking on wiring to my outside amber light but I’m trying to hid all my wires to make it clean. Has anybody hooked them up inside there trailer or in a storage box?

I got my power from the entry light/porch light switches.
Added another switch for the LEDs.
Fished the wires through the wall (pretty much followed the path of the porch light wire).
Drilled a hole in the side wall that came out less than an inch below the awning.
Attached amber LEDs starting at the hole, made connection, filed hole with marine silicone.
Trimmed off excess LED strip. I used two different LED strips so that I could just trim off the end since the wire is at one end. I didn't want to 'double' going the other direction.
It has worked 10 years so far.

Thank you been watching a lot of videos on YouTube and that looks like the easiest way to do it…. Just kinda freaked about drilling a hold into my trailer lol

If you have a slide-out...now, that is a really, really big hole!

Vid was pretty good.
I just winged it... stuck stirp directly to awning track. I'm not sure that there were 'kits' back than.
LOL- I did the LEDs because my porch light was too bright and I wanted less light!
Enjoy!

Well thanks for the info and ya my porch light isn’t bright at all and that’s the only light on that side of the trailer makes it hard to hang out with out light at dark lol
