Awning possessed?

Our new Jayco Jay Feather 25rb is on her first shakedown trip and we found that the power awning has a mind of its own. Firstly, and not such a terrible fault, on the Jaycommand panel “extend” actually retracts it and “retract” extends the awning. Secondly, when we extended the awning to shade us in the afternoon, a couple of minutes later we felt a shaking and look out to see the awning extending and retracting on its own, back and forth, over and over. We brought it in of course and now are baffled.
Any thoughts fellow Jayco owners?

A fellow camper messing with a remote of their own?

Sounds like wires are reversed #1.

Sounds like reverse wires and / or some new awnings have wind speed / vibration / movement sensors and will retract automatically if its windy.

I'd take the panel loose first and view the wiring to the awning switch. It should be very easy to switch the wires. Be sure to disconnect battery and cover solar panel first (if equipped).

I would double check and make sure the awning is not wrapped upside down now. If it extended, and then tried to extend again, that would retract and wrap the awning from the bottom and confuse the panel. ~CA

X2. The dealer actually showed me how that happens when we did our PDI.

This! It happens a lot actually. It's just over-travel. Hold the RETRACT button until it gets out to the end, then it'll flip over and be correct.
