Awning pulling away from trailer

I noticed water dripping down the side of the trailer in a place that use to be dry when the ac was on. After looking closer it looks like the awning is pulling away from the camper. And it’s pulling the gutter with it and I can even see a staple that looks like it pulling out that holds the rubber roof down.

It’s a 2018 264BH

We hardly ever have the awning out because we are scared of wind ripping it off.

Is this an easy repair or does it need to go to the dealer.

Would the warranty cover the repair or would they blame the damage on me.

The dealer is almost 3 hour drive 1 way. So if it’s a cheap easy fix I may try it myself.

Thank you friends. Click image for larger version

We just had the same thing happen and it was repaired by the dealer, but that said, we were dropping the rig off for other warranty work and just added this to the list.

Per the dealer, Jayco overtightened the screws and stripped them out, so it was just a matter of time before it came loose. They ended up tacking the gutter off, moving it over ~1”, drilling new holes, screwing it down properly and sealing it all back up.

Can you tell it was repaired?
What other kinds of things did they fix for you. We have had lots of small things we had to fix ourselves. Rebuilding the bed.

Loose plumbing connections etc.

I can’t tell it was repaired. I’ve done a ton of small repairs myself too, but some of it is just too big for me to tackle. Some of the bigger things that were fixed include:
- replaced a window in the bedroom slide
- slide topper rail had pulled off the side of the unit (like the awning rail)
- roof staples were popping up
- slide topper replaced. It was easier to replace than repair
- repaired hot water heater
- replaced table top by TV (cracked from the factory)

Our warranty is up in October so wanted to get some fixed while we still could.

Same thing happened to our Eagle 27.5. Our dealer is over an hour away but we have a RV repair guy in our town that came up and fixed it. Hey used a couple larger diameter self tapping screw that secured it back to the RV wall. You can’t see the the repair, looks good. We had issues with our refrigerator not igniting on propane and he found that the igniter was to far away from the gas supply line. All it took was to bend the igniter so it was closer to the line and it works good now. He also replaced the seal in our toilet because it wasn’t holding water. He charged us $100 and did the repairs right in my driveway. Everything would’ve been covered by warranty but it would’ve cost more in gas for me to drop it off at the dealer and then pick it up a week later.

My warranty is up in May so I want to get
Mine in the best shape possible and I want to get the wheel barring serviced beforehand go out west next summer. And that is a job that wouldn’t be easy for me to do at home either.

I’ve got drawers that open when they should and don’t slide very well either.

Gray water tank handle is about to break.

Kitchen faucet doesn’t move from sink to sink easily

Door is hard to close.
