Axle mis-identification

I looked under the trailer today and have a Lippert pair of axles.

The book included as part of the trailer documentation is for "Dexter Axle"

Was there some kind of "company A buys company B" shenanigans back in the day or why do I not have a Lippert axle manual?

Odds are that they threw whatever they had under your RV. Get the numbers off the axle, call the axle manufacturer and ask for a manual for that axle and pitch the other one. Only problem would be if your actual axle is rated less than the design one. If so, go to the dealer and Jayco.

Yes! Make sure the installed axles have enough weight rating for your TT. No big deal if they changed suppliers but if they pulled axles from the wrong pile . . .

We have the Dexter manual on JOF in the Misc section of the manuals: https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/d...p?do=file&id=2

Lippert should be able to send you a link for their axles. We don't have it in our manuals section yet.

I was able to find and download Lippert manuals from their web site. Don’t have axle manuals tho.

Last time I looked for Manual, they had several axle manuals, with parts list, service manuals, brake manuals. Have to go to Support/Documents/Manuals. Many Manuals, see what’s there.
