That looks nice. I probably should get some of those for my three trailer tongue mounted plastic battery cases. I already have my propane tanks large center twist bar nut secured with a master lock. Anything to slow them down is what works...

My goal was to get some thing in a metal box with a side mounted built-in lock like the diamond plate 48-inch side mount tool box has. Of course they are alot more expensive. I have helped a few other RV'ers install those but never got one for myself yet...

Bolt cutters and dremal tools seem to be the choice of tools now for the battery and propane tank thieves these days. A dremal tool will cut thru a master lock lock shank real quick and not make much noise.. If you got an old lock laying around with no key for it try it out how long a dremal tool would take to cut the shank. Amazed me when I did one...

My batteries on my POPUP are wide open for thief but we do get to keep the trailer in the back yard and I usually camp at regular camp sites and off the trail back in the woods somewhere. Very seldom leave the trailer very long unattended. I do worry about things alot however... I certainly will not leave my 2KW Honda generator with my trailer unattended. It goes where I go secured to the inside of truck bed and covered with a lockable hard folding bed cover top.

I think the trick is out-of-sight and whatever you can do to slow them down. I have always worried if you make too hard for them to steal it then they might just steal the whole trailer instead. hehe...

just my thoughts...

I know if they want them they will get them...with that said I put them on to make it harder for anyone to get them...My friend who I got them from puts them on all her rental trailers to keep the renters from messing with the battery.

I might pick a couple of these up. As was earlier said, slowing them down may be enough to deter them. I wonder if these are easier to work with than straps? My JayFlight 24FBS has absolutely no room between the grp24 boxes and the nose of the trailer. It's a fight just to get the battery cover on the box.

I have them, I also chained my propane tanks to the frame, still if they want to take the time to get them they will

Had my batteries stolen last week. Not happy at all - do you have a link for those bars as they look much better than what I have found so far.

Kinda funny, I can see where their plan was to cut all the wires and lift the batteries out, but they chose the 4AWG wire first. Their little dikes couldn't get through quickly so they took off the wing nuts instead I have to replace a 1 foot section of 4AWG as a result, but in a way it makes me happy....
