Question Backup / Rearview Camera 2018 212QB

What are good camera options to choose for a 2018 Jayco Jay Flight SLX 212QB?

Is there any pre-wiring done? Do I have to go wireless? Where is the best place to mount it?

We replaced/upgraded our last RV using the hardwired Rear View Safety camera. It was outstanding. We would like to do the same in our Jayco when funds become available.

The RVS cameras are some of the best on the market with excellent customer support as well.

We have the Furrion rear view camera. It is helpful when backing up and on the road while driving. It acts like a rear-view mirror.

Does anyone know anything about a Pyle camera. I found it for $159.00 w/7in monitor and say's 300ft range. I don't won't to pay half the price of the Furrion but get something that only works half as good.

Voyager Wireless Camera

I used the Voyager Wireless Camera. It is an always on camera and the monitor sits on my dash. The Voyager works pretty well. It is not as good as a wired camera but a whole lot easier to install. It has always worked while moving slowly (backing up) but sometimes loses connection for a few seconds at highway speed. Works 99.9% of the time.

Voyager WVOS541 four Camera Enabled Digital Wireless Observation System with 5.6" color LCD monitor, connect up to 4 wireless cameras and 1 wired camera, build-in microphone, 960 x 234 Resolution

The best camera is one that you can point down at your hitch ball to connect the trailer. Camera's on the back of TT are nice too.

i don't mind the hitch ball aspect. It does suck when you are by yourself, but that is rare. I do mind not being able to see my blind side even with wifee helping out.

I have the same trailer that you have. I went with the RVS wireless system. I mounted it in the center light on the back of the trailer, and tied the wires to work with the parking lights of the trailer. Since I tow with Colorado, wanted to be able to see behind the trailer as I was driving. It works great.

On some trucks, the rear back up camera does this.
