Angry Bathroom Fan Motor

I have a 2010 Jayco Eagle 322FKS, just this week end the bathroom fan motr started making this clicking sound, thought the blade was hitting the side of the fan housing. Removed the blade, turn the motor on, and the sound is in the motor. Has anyone experienced this problem. Anyone replaced this motor, unit is out of warranty by 2 days.

I have the same trailer and I replaced my kitchen fan with a computer fan.it is quiet and moves enough air to ventilate over the stove when required. I think if I ever had to replace the bathroom fan I will try 2 computer fans to ensure I have enough air movement but still be quiet.

Consider replacing the stock fan with something more powerful, lkie the Vortex fan which can use the existing vent so no need to go on the roof or break the roof seal. Less then 50 bucks on Ebay. Link

Only two days out of warranty? I'd call Jayco anyway. Explain the situation and tell them that you're going to do the work of replacing it yourself. They might be willing to send the motor (or maybe even the entire fan) in order to keep a Jayco owner happy. They'd be getting off easy being there wouldn't be any labor costs involved.

As my dad would say: "The worst they can do is say 'No'."
