Bathroom Sink Leak

I have a pretty solid leak under my bathroom sink and about to take 1st 2016 voyage TOMORROW. Any advice? Can I get a plumber tomorrow? Not sure what to do.

Its coming from the hose to the faucet connection.

My kitchen sink was cross threaded. I would take it apart and reconnect it.

Might be best to try a plumber unless you have the proper tools. Looks like it's either the crimp is a bit loose or the the fitting damaged. I use that style crimp on my irrigation lines and there is a special pair crimping tools to tighten them. The cutting jaws on a pair of lineman's pliers works too but you want to have spare crimps if you are going to try that. They are pretty soft metal and easy to squeeze a bit too hard and wreck the crimp.

It likely needs a new crimp. If you can get the old crimp off, put a screw clamp on it till you get back. It's a 10 minute job if you have the correct tools.

My guess is the crimp fitting area isnt leaking at all, seeing how it is wet well above that area (pic is upside down). Maybe it is the threaded fitting above that which is leaking?

My guess is that you are not comfortable or handy enough to tackle a small plumbing project like this, and there is no shame in that. I would suggest just calling a plumber or jack of all trades kind of friend that dabbles in it. Sometimes it just makes sense to pay the pro's.

I don't think it's leaking at the tubing, it's the threaded fitting. All you have to do is reach up there with your hand and tighten it. It's a good idea to check all of them from time to time. Make sure you have a water pressure regulater on your hose outside.

Wrap some plumbers tape around it till you get it fixed. That crimp clamp looks a little loose to me. I'd get a worm clamp and redo it.

Mine leaked there too but wound up being the fitting wasn't screwed tightly. Make sure the area that hooks to the faucet is screwed tightly and also not cross threaded.

Most all of my water supply lines and drain pipes were either loose or cross threaded. If you find a leak unthread and then rethread the lines.

Wood looks pretty wet as well. Maybe it is the faucet leaking and not the plumbing pictured.

I found we were putting plastic onto metal for the new faucet being replaced. I used home depot shark bite fittings and home grade braided fittings. This did the trick. A simple upgrade and we are good to go. Thank you all for your replies.
