bathroom sink upgrade?

The faucet in my 28BHBE is counter mounted, right behind the sink. I want to replace the faucet with one that has a longer reach because the water exits the faucet at the very back edge of the sink. Almost all of the residential faucets I have looked at have the same 4-4.75" reach (distance from the center of the aerator to the center line between the handles). Is there a special faucet I should be looking for or is a 4" reach standard for a bathroom faucet?

Change it out. I changed mine out for a residential years ago; for the exact reasons you want to change yours...

It is an annoyance.

Look in your area to see if there is a bathroom/kitchen show room. They will specialize in all things related. What is nice they tend to have a better selection of faucets than the big DIY stores.

I changed mine out after the first camping trip! Couldn't get my hands under the spout, and ended up with water all over the countertop every time I used it. The standard for bathroom faucet inlet spacing is 4" from center to center - although you can also get 8" or single hole. The one in your rig is 4". You can pick one up (or special order one) at any hardware store . . . including the big boxes. While you're there, pick up a faucet wrench ($18 - $35). It makes the change-out ever so much easier! And as long as you're changing out the faucet, why not cut back the hot & cold water lines and add a "Shark-Bite" shut-off valve and standard faucet water line to each.

I've since replaced the sink with a larger one and a different faucet, but you get the idea.

I swapped mine out after the first camping trip also. My wife went to Walmart and picked one out that she liked. I installed it and we have no issues. The swap out is very easy.

When I replaced my faucet the instructions said 'do not connect PEX directly to faucet because it will leak.' Of course what did the factory do with my 28.5 RSTS...connected PEX directly to the faucet. Like Brownie said "And as long as you're changing out the faucet, why not cut back the hot & cold water lines and add a "Shark-Bite" shut-off valve and standard faucet water line to each." That is what I did!
