battery box straps

looking for suggestions for the straps that go around the battery box to hold the lid on.

the nylon ones eventually broke, replaced with rubber bungy type strap, those also eventually broke.


know any strap that can withstand the sun and not deteriorate?


ideas?

I’m happy if I get 3 years out of mine and they get a lot of hot sun in the summer. I just replace them when they are getting tired. They’re cheap. I’m not sure there’s much else that will last any better and not be a lot more expensive.

I've been using a long piece of black 12awg wire. Been using the same piece for the last 8+ years.

Not inexpensive, but metal bracket that will last.

I had an old load strap that I used for years before going lithium and moving it inside. A lot more secure on bumpy roads!
