Battery while in storage

We leave our camper stored at a east coast campground for the year. They deliver to/from the spot when we are in town. My question is about the battery. After extended storage to battery runs completely down. This most recent trip the battery will not hold a charge.
Anyone else have the problem with solutions?
Thanks

Its widely known that fully discharging a battery will destroy its ability to hold a charge. You need a new battery. There are many posts in the forum about battery care.

Next year completely disconnect your battery when you put your RV in storage or install a battery disconnect switch.

I agree you have to disconnect the battery from the RV system or it will go dead from small drains like the LP gas detector.

You can also ask if they would connect the RV to electricity to power a battery tender.

If they won't/can/t plug it in you could add a small solar battery charger, again after disconnecting it from parasitic loads.

Lots of posts all over the forum.
This is a good time to learn more about batteries, maintenance and which one to buy. Dealer installed batteries are usually lowest dollar quality anyway.

+1 on a battery disconnect switch , or just physically disconnect the battery if you are not using the trailer for extended periods of time.

Blue Sea Systems Battery Selector switch. aka Battery Disconnect Switch. I turn it off in the fall and plug in my battery maintainers and forget about them until spring.

I remove my battery as part of my winterizing process. I keep it in my garage on a battery tender / maintainer.
