Bearing Maintenance Question

We recently picked up a 2012 25BHS with the aluminum rim options. I was wondering if any of you owners that had these type wheels could tell me if the centerpieces that cover the posi-lube fittings somehow just pop out or if you have to the whole wheel off to get to the fittings. I tried to pull one of them off this afternoon and the centerpiece doesn't feel like it wants to budge. Thanks for any help in advance.

The centerpieces on my aluminum wheels have a thin cap at the end. You can gently pry them off with a narrow tip screwdriver.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will try that tomorrow. I knew there had to be a easier way than taking the wheels off.

Look for a small notch to get your screwdriver in. I get it started there and use a putty knife to start going around the cover to help pry it off. They crack easily, so be gentle.
