Bearings

I need help identifying what bearings I need for my TT. I own a 2020 Jayco slx8 264bh and I want to get backup bearings. I do not need to replace yet and would rather I D them without tearing a wheel/hub down. Does any one have specs on this model?

Thx

Get the numbers from your axle label and contact the manufacturer.

Can you post a picture of your axle tag? Or if not provide manufacturer and weight rating?

Not Jayco- I mean Dexter or Lippert.
Dexter has been very helpful with us.

If you have Lippert axles then you can find the necessary part numbers for bearings and other related components on the Lippert Spring Axles Support page. Click on the Product Components tab, then select the document for the identified axle. There you will see an exploded diagram of all the components along with clickable part numbers to purchase.

If you have Dexter axles you can find the necessary part numbers for bearings and other related components in the Dexter Light Duty Catalog by looking at the hub groups section for the identified axle. There you will see exploded diagrams for all the components along with part numbers.

If you have dexter axles, the part numbers are in their service manual. I believe yours has the 3000# axles, but verify for yourself.

That is great information! Thank you! I will be using the Dexter catalog. I will say that the cover photo with the axle dangling over a guard rail is a little disconcerting...

Your tag shows that your axle is 3500# capacity.

In addition to the two different size bearings with races for each hub, you'll need one new seal for each hub too. They're not re-usable after being removed to take out the inner bearing and race.

for some reason dexter has been difficult to speak with. I am all too familiar with jayco service. This forum has helped me more than anyone and i am thankful for that.

Great idea to carry bearing set! If you need it, you know you have the parts and the quality you want.

We have an axle, alignment, brake specialty garage repack or replace bearings and check brakes every spring before first outing. For the 10,000 - 12,000 miles we average in a year it's a lot of peace of mind for a reasonable price.

I recommend Timkin bearings. I bought a new bearings for our trailer and was pleasantly surprised that they are still make in the USA.
