If they are 6V the Ah on the battery will be at 6 volts. So at 12 volts its half that. So when charging two 232 Ah 6 volt batteries on a 12 volt charger your charging 232Ah total not 464Ah. Still it sounds like your charger is a little small. If the batteries are fully charged and the charged does not do the cleaning cycles I think you'll be fine. The cost of batteries is quite high, why not just search and find a charger that can charge two 6V batteries that has plate cleaning cycles.
