For the wide stance axles you need a taller 'trailer aid' type device to get the other wheel off the ground. I built my own out of pressure treated 2x6s. In testing on our WH at my house it worked great.

I have always been a huge fan of the Trailer Aid. I have been using it for about 8 years. 4 tires on boat trailers and 3 tires so far on two different trailers.

Two weeks ago, I had a flat and had to use it (on I-10 just outside of Blythe, CA). The side of the road was so smooth that I could not get the trailer aid to work. I kept pushing it backward down the road. It just kept slipping backward and grinding down the plastic. I had never run into this before. No matter what I did, I could not get it to stop slipping backward.

I had to use all of the leveling wood and plastic levelers I had to get the tire up. I will keep using the Trailer Aid, but make sure you have a backup plan.

Does anyone have personal experience using with a mor-ryde suspension? Been looking at getting one but afraid it won't work since there's quite a bit of flexibility for motion between the axles.

Everyone can test if it will work before buying. Get wood or plastic pieces that are as tall as the trailer aid and drive one of your tires up onto it. If your other tire comes off the ground, you are good to buy one.

I carry the orange plastic squares and 2x10x12 wood pieces as well for leveling.

I have a 4ton bottle jack that works well for raising the tire on our wide stance tandem axle WHite Hawk

Sux to hear you had to use the trailer aid, but glad it all worked out!!! Hopefully you won't need it again for a long while!!!!!

Main reason I have not bought a trailer aid yet is storing the thing. To simulate the trailer aid I cut 2x8's (think that's what I cut up! Lol) into smaller pieces that I can stack to make a "trailer aid". They fit in a Homer Tool Box 19" from HD with a 4 ton bottle jack. Bought another Homer Tool Box for my Slime compressor and couple tow straps. My thinking is get the good tire up on the stack and then slightly jack the flat up as needed. Don't know if on way is better then the other, time will onto tell....

I think if the test worked out I'd just carry the wood and forget about buying an extra doodad.

A simple 4 ton Hyd.Jack works for me (for Truck and Trailer). Overloading the other axle is not a good thing to do. I don't need the storage space full of junk. But each his own.

Do you have a picture? Sorry, I'm a "gotta see it" type of person.
