Angry Black & Grey Holding tank size?!?!?

My holding tanks seem to have to be cleaned every other day!!! How do I find out how big my holding tanks are?

If you are relying on the tank sensors they are known for being very unreliable.

As far as knowing what size tanks you have, the Jayco website has a product archive section where you can pull up older brochures. Frequently those list tank sizes for the various models.

Expect the sensors to to be unreliable. Depress the flush lever and Shine a flashlight down the toilet and you should be able to see the water level.

Also, if you are draining it daily, you should be able to tell whether you're draining 2 or 3 gallons or 20 or 30. And as suggested above, Google your model number specifications.

Showers will fill up any gray tank very quickly. If you are running off your fresh water tank, is that having to be filled up every other day also?

Black tanks should take longer to fill unless you are holding the flush lever down for an extended period each time.

I have read some campers did not have the correct size tank for their model. The one way to be sure is to bucket fill your tank. You'll know for sure then.

Thanks for the quick responses!!!
Crawled underneath, to find out the tanks are HT140 made by Ameri-Kart. Search of their website says they're both 30 gallon tanks. I'm using Sewer Solutions to clean & flush them.

My 25 gallon grey water has to be emptied every day. That is with two people using the shower. On the other hand the 25 gallon black tank has lasted as long as nine days without needing emptying.

We have a 1991 Jayco eagle 250fs model and we need to replace our black water holding tank. So I am seeing the best way to find out size is to crawl under and find model # and manufacturer name on tank and check that with their website? Because I've had same problem finding specs online.
