Question Black & Grey water monitor malfunctioning

Hi folks
I am new here & a new Jayco 195RB owner.
I have used it a couple of times. I really like it.
I do have a question.
On the panel that indicates Grey water & Black water, the lights ALWAYS show empty...even when they are NOT.
The other lights for the Battery & Fresh water on this same panel are working fine.
What’s the problem? Any ideas?
Thanks much !
Pete

Did they work before?
Alot of threads on the issue. Comes down to crap on sensors. Paper etc. They work on resistance. A few fixes.
1 flush if you have it.
2 fill, drain a few times. Add a little dawn (1/2 cup or so).
3 3,4 gallons in tank before you drive. It will slosh around and help clean off sensors.
4 dump when it is 3/4 full.

Look for a bad or missing ground wire on the sensors.

Just to piggyback off of this question. Last weekend I was out in our 2014 X20E and it read our tanks correctly in the morning but not in the afternoon when it was super hot outside. Would heat impact the sensor readings?

Here is a quick article about sensors working incorrectly. Mostly to do with 'stuff' in the tank, but I didn't see anything about temperature. They offer a different set of sensors that work on the outside of the tank, thus eliminating the usual suspects and makes for more accurate tank readings all the time. Happy camping!
