black flush water leak - what can get wet?

Hello all ~

I hooked up the black tank flush and noticed water coming out over wheel and seemed to have been in the underbelly plastic cover.

I took the panel off the hot water tank after noticing a small amount of water in that area. I confirmed that the check valve (B&B 571) was leaking. I've seen issues with it on this site and other rv sites.

So do I need to do anything related to the water leak? Is there anything such as fiberglass batting or similar that could get moldy? The belly cover has holes in it so I assume air will circulate? What is under the hot water tank area? Just the holding tanks?

Thanks in advance.

I would get it fixed ASAP. Leaks and trailers don't mix.

The manufacturer is sending me a new valve free of charge. I guess there is a design flaw. With that said I'm most concerned with water or mold damage....
