Black/Grey Water Tote?

Looking for recommendations on a good Black/Grey Water Tote. Preferably one I could attach to the hitch and drive over to a dump station. Black water has not been an issue, but we are filling up our grey water pretty fast.
Thanks.
P.s. I'm a rule follower most of the time, so don't want to dump gray water out on the ground.

I have the Barker 4wheel 42 gallon tote. I like the wheels on it much better then any others i looked at. Have used it for gray water only without any issues.

I have the same one...works great! I do have to put a bungee on the hitch to keep it in place when pulling to dump station.

I bought this one last year for about$55 less than it is now.
Works well for us. 1 trip per tank.
I started out with a 10 gal from the days of the pop up.

I agree with with a Barker. I'm not sure how big you are looking for. I had a 22 gallon for my pop-up last year. It was a two-wheeled hitchable tank and worked great.

We also use the 42 gal. Barker. Works great. The 42 gal. will handle our black tank plus grey water after 2 showers. FWIW, the 32 gal. and 42 gal. Barkers have the same length and width (while laying flat). The 42 gal. is approx. 3 inches higher than the 32 gal.

We use a macerator to fill the Barker while it sits in the bed of the truck. We then drive to the nearest sani-dump, then gravity dump from the bed.

We have towed it a few times. The two front pneumatic (50 PSI) tires are narrow and only 6-7" in diameter. It goes without saying they won't handle larger ruts and potholes very well---especially when it's full (over 300 lbs!).

We prefer the Barker over the Thetford because it has a simpler design---IMO, less to break or go wrong.

Another vote for the 42 Gal Barker. We have been very happy with ours so far.

Waste water tote

We have a similar product. We have had no problems with dumping with it. There are lots of two wheel and four wheel models. Anything larger for us and it would be hard to lift, pull and maneuver around.

Note that each gallon of water weighs about 6 lbs so a 40 gallon tank that is full weighs 240 lbs. If there is any lifting involved in getting it to the dump station (I typically find a 3"~4" curb surrounding the dump hole) you may have to lift at least one end of the tank over that curb to dump the tank. I opted for a 20 gallon tank for that reason. Much more manageable for this senior citizen.

This is the reason I stayed with a 22 gallon Barker. I have water at 8.3 pounds a gallon but either way, it's still heavy.

Just a note on tote size. I went with the 42 gal Barker in order to limit the amout of times I need to take it to the dump station (both my black and grey tanks are 25 gal so I can almost do both of them in one trip as long as I don't max out my tank capacity).

With that said, there is absolutely nothing wrong with using a smaller tote and taking multiple trips or dumping when the tanks are partially full. Don't buy one that is going to be so big and cumbersome that you are not going to want to use it. I am lucky in that the path from where we are staying regularly now to where we dump is only about 500 ft and is fairly easy to pull by hand or even better when I can hook it to the truck or my quad to get it there. As I've aged, I realize more and more that bigger isn't always better in every case.

I use the 42-gallon Barker, but I put it in the truck bed, and use a macerator pump to fill it. I then drive to where I dump, and use the gravity from the tailgate to the ground to thoroughly dump. The last State CG that I camped that didn’t have on-site sewers, the dump station was more than a mile away. Far too far to tow a wheeled tote.....

What we do also when staying at relatives property. Campground dump station is 6 miles away.

So in such situation, are you going to the dump station or using the household amenities to empty the tote?

Unfortunately, we have to go to the campground and use the dump station there. My BIL's cottage has a very old, small septic system and when they added a new bed/bath addition last year, he was told by the county that just adding that extra bath may end up causing issues and if it did, he would have to have a new one put in. The new addition does have water and 50 amp electric outlets for us to use though.

It's been a year with the new addition and so far so good, but there is a big difference between a few extra flushes a day and dumping 40+ gallons into it all at once and NEITHER of us want to find out what happens when we do!

Thanks! I was be going to a campground over the Memorial Day weekend where there is no dump station. Can you use a macerator pump to discharge the tote into the toilet?

My 15 gallon Barker has served us well. It's a 2 wheeler with a hitch on one end to hang over the truck ball. I don't use it often and don't even carry it unless I know I'll need it.
