Has anyone actually used the Horst probes, and if so would you recommend?

I thought with the tank wash system mine might read better...wrong...tank is empty, gauge reads 2/3. When it gets full it reads full but most times even after using the tank wash it still reads 2/3... we had the same problem on our Gulfstream...just learn to live with it.

Camco makes a wand with a spinning head that attaches to a garden hose it creates a high pressure and blows all the poop and paper off the walls with a spinning brass tip, best $20-25 dollars you can spend, works like a charm!!!

The readings are all over the place. Sometimes it works normally, but for the most part it is unreliable at best. Its been quite some time since I had the tank completely full, so I`m not sure if it would read full or not.

I was looking at the setup and mind you I'm new to campers with ammenities as i came from a popup with nothing in it. Why can't they design these so that the grey drains through black and act as a wash out?

Another thought.. Can you just remove the oem sensors from the tank and clean them off?

My trailer is over 9 years old and the black tank sensors still work great. I have a No-Fuss-Flush black tank rinse system. After every dump, I add about 5 oz of Blue Dawn Ultra dish washing liquid. I only dump the black tank when it is over 2/3 full, even if that means leaving "stuff" in the tank for a trip or two. If possible, I dump the tank upon arrival at a park. There is never a line at the dump station on Friday.

The grey tank sensor is unreliable on my trailer. I attribute that to no flush system. Next trailer I'll have a grey tank rinse system installed in addition to the black tank rinse.

I have had 3 TT's so far. My current one I bought nes and have a black tank flush installed, and even using the black tank flush all the time my sensors read incorrectly.
