black tank Question

My black tank readings seem to always be wrong. So i have a question... Aprox how many times should you be able to go to the bathroom before it fills the black tank? I did a little research and it seems my tank is 32.5 gallons. On a weekend trip i shouldnt have to worry about the tank filling? or should i? Any info is appreciated.

The black water tank indication system (idiot lights) provided by the manufacturer is highly unreliable. With 2 people using it a 32 gallon black water tank should be good for about 5 - 7 days. This has no relationship to the gray water system (showers and dishes) whatsoever.

I have 32 Gal Blk, with 2 adults & 3 Kids (6,4,2) we can go ~5 days/4 nights.

Gray (32 Gal) on the other hand approx 2 days...we have a 25 gal blue tote so if the camp ground has a dump station we tote gray away daily. It takes about 10 min and means we don't have to worry to much about sink/shower water usage. If we go into full conservation mode, only min water usage. Basically for teeth brush, hand and face washing but no showers and dishes done outside in a tub we can make our gray last as long as our black.

We have a 52 gallon black tank. We were parked for 2 1/2 weeks without sewer hookup and the tank was full when we left.

I have seen a suggestion that simply says to look down there with a flashlight. We've gone three days and while I didn't do that look-see, had no problem. Just two of us. Lots of variables, so you'll have to learn your tank and your habits.
