Black Water Flush?

Just picked up my 26BHS today and totally forgot to ask how to do a black water tank flush? Can it be done or is that a special option? Thanks

Does yours have the Elite Package? If so... the 2016's are showing the Elite has the black tank flush.

Super simple to operate:
1. Connect sewer dump hose, preferably use a clear 5" extension between camper and the slinky hose. (This is so you can visually monitor the solids and color of the effluent.)
2. mount a garden hose to the black tank flush inlet.
3. Keep gray tank valve closed and open the black tank dump valve.
4. Turn on the water spigot that is feeding the black tank flush hose.
5. Watch in amazement how the exiting effluent washes out all the solids and the color turns from brown to hazy to clear.
6. Open the gray tank valve.
7. Wait until the remaining flow is JUST from the clear water hose.
8. Close gray tank valve
9. Shut off the water spigot, and disconnect the hose
10. Wait for all trickling water to stop.
11. close the black tank valve
12. disconnect the slinky hose.

Start to finish under 7 minutes.

Unfortunately I don't have the elite package :-( I wanted it but they foolishly ordered my unit without it. Is there any way to flush without the kit or maybe add one? Thanks

Yeah, the industry used to sell something called "roto-flush" it was basically a fitting that you needed to drill a 3/4" hole into the sidewall of the Black tank, and mounted the fitting into. Same principle - connected the hose, and a sprayer rotated like crazy on the inside to basically deluge the tank with a million high-pressure jets. I haven't seen one offered for sale in a while, though. The closest I can find is this: 1-1/2" FPT Flush Spin-In Fitting. Cooleys RVs

That new spin-fitting looks interesting to me. Once you get it spinned-into the side wall of the tank, (assuming you would silicone to heck out of it,) it would allow you to connect standard pipe threads and eventually adapt to the garden hose inlet. This would likely NOT be DIY retrofitted into the camper sidewalls, but rather just hung off a bracket under the unit.

I never installed one, instead I just used the ole fashioned wand that you stick down the toilet while dumping. Crude, but effective.

I have the Tornado Rotary Tank Rinser on my 2005 travel trailer. I love it and it works well. I had the dealership install it for me. When I use it I can see the toilet paper and other stuff left over from just a regular black water dump.
