Go with a water proof marker and make a circle around the jack post in the upper and lower position. You stop on time "No fuse will blow" Simple and effective!

I have the same thing happening, replace the fuse and it pops right away, sparks when I put it in. I am assuming it's because of what is said above, but will be taking to dealer to check. I have a 2015 Jay Flight RLS27. I have gone thru 5 fuses now. Good things is the manual way for lifting the trailer works smooth.

If sparks and blows BEFORE you press the switch, something may have failed inside the jack.

This is exactly what happened to me today. Picked up my brand new trailer last night and when I got home the jack didn't work. My BIL replaced the fuse and the light on the jack worked but the motor did not. Took it back (75 miles) this morning and they swapped the jack out. It was mentioned that this was the third "bad" jack they had had this spring. Hitched it up and the new jack worked fine. Drove home and when I went to unhitch the new jack moved maybe 1/8th of an inch and blew the fuse.

I was already late for work, so my sister let me use her car and I was going to tackle the jack using the manual crank this evening. I don't understand what is making the fuses blow like this...the jack was not run up too far or down too far either time. My dealer said as long as it is clear of the WDH bars it was up far enough.
