Blown 30a fuse
Picked up new 22' Jayfeather.dealer Tech showed me all about it and hitched it up. Drove about 1 1/2 hours home. Unhooked power cable from car and tried to use power tongue lift. Nothing. Pluged cable back into car plug and unhitched. Disconnected plug and found nothing inside working off battery. Did some checking and found the 30a fuse at the trailer battery blown. Any thoughts why?

Not finding any when you checked it over, may a bad fuse. Try another one. If it blows again, take it back to the dealer to fix it.

could be any number of reasons.
Was the fuse good before you picked up the new RV. was the battery connected properly. Could also be that the fuse blew when you tried to use the power jack and just have been a fluke that it blew. Have you replaced the fuse and tried using the jack again?

Have not replaced fuse. What is the best sequence to unhook trailer. Shut off car engine. Pull plug cable from car. Raise vehicle with power lift. Remove sway bar and rods. Lower back down. Unlatch ball latch. Raise trailer off ball.???

Check you battery connections. Make sure the white whire is connected to ground. Replace the fuse. Then check to see if you have 12V power in the RV. Then try the jack if fuse blows again I would then call the dealer and let him know.
That's how I do mine except for the power jack which I don't have. I find it easier to remove the equalizer bars buy raising the hitch. then lower it to release the ball. Lately I have been using a hydraulic Jack rather the hand cranking the tongue jack.

There's only a power wire to the power jack. With a poor ground you blow the fuse in the batt. box. I installed a #10 ground directly to the PJ's drive motor. Also there is a fuse for the brakes in he batt. box. The power to the converter has a circuit breaker usual outside the batt. box and also has a regular and reverse fuse at the converter.
You can plug or unplug your unit with or without the engine running.

I leave trailer/tv plugged in while unhooking. It provides extra power to t/t battery. If you raise or lower jack past certain levels, it will blow that 30a fuse. Place a four to six inch block under jack foot to use less of jack. Last things I unhook are safety chains, break away cable, then power chord. T/t's have been known to move while unhooking.

same thing happened to me, replaced the fuse, hit the electric tongue button and it popped again, replaced that one and all was well. 2015 Jayco 23RB. I will be keeping a surplus of fuses on hand.

Same thing happened to me with our jack. I found that if you go just a little too far past the hard stops of the tongue jack for just a split second, the extra tax on the motor causes the fuse to blow. Now I have a mark at the retracted position that I watch so I know when to let the switch go before hitting the hard stop.
The good news is that the first thing I did when I picked up the new trailer was go through the fuse panel and buy a pile of spares.

Like Swardy said. If you run the jack up too far or out too far it will trip the fuse.

Same thing just happened to me with my 2015 X213 put a 25a in because that's what I had on hand, that blew right away with the jack. Ran and got a package of 30a and all seems well for now.

I think I would put a resettable fuse in there.

Usually that fuse will blow if the up or down button is depressed after the jack reaches it's upper or lower limit.
Most carry a few of the correct fuse and keep it handy cause it can happen.
Hope that is all it was.

I was warned by the dealer when I bought my trailer not to run the jack to its full travel as it will blow the fuses. He also advised that I should leave the trailer plugged in to the truck when using the jack as to not draw from the trailer battery alone.

I think I know what I'm doing this weekend - even though it doesn't happen often anymore doesn't mean my kid won't run into the stop while helping me (or I choose to not pay attention to the task at hand...)!

I looked at putting a breaker in there instead of the fuse, but the one I found wouldn't work and I didn't want to re-wire it. It installs directly where the fuse would go in the fuse holder, but my fuse holder wouldn't allow for the extra width of the breaker.
I VERY rarely ever pop that fuse anymore now that I know what causes it to blow, so I just keep extras in the trailer and truck.
Edit: If I were popping that fuse all the time, I would wire in a breaker.
