Blown Speaker?
I just brought home my new Jay Feather 25BH on 9/8. It is equipped with the Furrion DV3300 entertainment system. Anyway, I decided to play some fairly quiet music while I acquainted myself with my new toy and found that the speaker above the sink seems to be blown. It makes a quiet crackling sort of sound on louder notes.
Does anyone have any tips on resolving this? If I can't troubleshoot it, how much fun is the warranty process? I live about 100 miles from my dealer on the Canadian border and would hate to drag it back to Spokane for a $20 speaker. Thanks for the help!

If you have a good dealer they may ship you a speaker. I live 140 miles from my dealer and the few warranty issues I had I just emailed the salesman a picture and they ordered the part and shipped it to me in a few weeks. And if they won't I would just go buy a speaker and replace it myself since its not much out of pocket.

It would not surprise me if the speaker is blown. I replaced my speakers the first year we had our camper. One of the factory speakers I pulled out had a torn cone. The speakers they put in are cheap, paper coned speakers made by the lowest bidder. Do yourself a favor and replace the speakers with aftermarket car speakers.

Agree, even the replacement would not be up to the standards of an average listener. We don't even use ours but if we did, the inside speakers would be an immediate upgrade.
I added a inexpensive sound bar and am very happy with it.

One of our Furrion outside speakers became distorted within 6 months after we bought the TT. The dealer was excellent and replaced it under warranty the same day we called.

re
Several of my speakers had the wrong polarity from the factory. I'd suggest checking how each speaker is wired at the speaker in the ceiling, and then with the a/b switch, and then finally at the head end/receiver. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but my sound improved considerable after I wired the speakers correctly.

I'll check on the polarity in the morning and post how it goes. Otherwise I'll try to get Camping World to ship out a new one under warranty. Thank you all for the help!

Blown Speaker?
I pulled the speaker this morning. Everything appeared to be perfectly fine except for the pile of sawdust rattling around on the back. Blew it off and now it sounds as good as new!

Yep, that is what I did too. For $98 from Wallyworld, a Vizio sound bar with a wireless subwoofer. When I called the Dealer about the black vertical line down the middle of my TV caused by trauma of pushing it back into travel mode because it was installed wrong) they reluctantly are replacing it and when I mentioned that I had the sound bar plugged into the provided RC Jacks on my Furrion TV (No HDMI OR fiberoptic there!), they informed me that if they saw the sound bar hooked to my TV, it would void the warranty! Guess what!
