It could be that they use more than one supplier for their frames.

If you have the serial number for the coach you ordered you can call Jayco and provide them with the serial number and they will be able to tell you anything you need to know about it. I have called them about a couple things and they were very through with providing me with the info or specs that I requested.

Without a serial number they will not provide you with any information though.

Idk, as the dealer set ours up but I don't think my ball has any rise... I can get a pic tomorrow. I've been very happy with our blue Ox WDH system.

Anyone have the old style sway pro with adjustable head? I ordered the 1000 pound tongue weight system and the spring bars only have 1 dot which makes the 550 pound bars by the new sway pro standards. Is this right or are the old bars different? I heard both from blue ox. Hoping someone had the older style 1000/10000 sway pro with 1 dot...?

There are two positions of the couplers on the frames. Couplers on the bottom of the frames are referred to as "underslung" couplers and are generally found on heavier trailers in the 12,000 pound plus range. Couplers on the top of the frame are considered "standard" couplers and are found on lighter smaller trailers.

Blue Ox has two different hitch head assemblies depending on location of the coupler. The Blue Ox weight distribution system for underslung couplers has the spring arm pivot positioned lower to accomodate the lower coupler placement on the trailer tongue.

You must have the correct hitch head based on your coupler location or your hitch head could interfere with the frame causing damage to both the hitch and trailer frame.

Here's my hitch and setup. Let me know if you need a different pic. These where the best I could do today. I have 1000 or 1200 pound bars (I forget) and it's 2 dots (or 3 not 1). I can try to check tomorrow...

Blue ox and jay flight

Thanks gcloss. I have the overs lung tongue and sway pro. Now my question is are the spring bars correct. Supposed to be the 1000 kit but the bars only have 1 dot.
Thx southco but I'm curious about the older adjustable style head. I'm sure all the new sway pro kits come with the dot system signifying the weight rating but I have the older generation head.
