Bone Yard

Anyone aware of an on line site which sells Jayco parts? Also, I am curious as to where travel trailers go when they die. If one was to deemed worthless, how does one get rid of it? (Sure this will generate some interesting answers!) Thanks.

I'm always baffled by the number of new units I drive by every time I pass dealership after dealership.

Then I try to reserve a campsite and find out where they've all gone.

Old trailers must get traded in and demolished or something, can't believe they can continue to pump out new ones with all the old ones still in use

Here in western NY, we have a recycling center nearby, and I've seen RV's in there, but they strip them of metal, and crush what's left. I found this site that has a list of possible places, by state.

I see a few from time to time in Bellingham and everything inside get crushed up too, except the frame. If it’s in your yard they charge $600 to 1,000 to take it away. One person was charged with arson after he called his insurance Co. trying to collect some free money.

an auto insurance adjuster with a few years experience should be able to point you at one or two graveyards. It's been my experience that they are quick to total a trailer. I had one totaled myself a few years back when a storm came through and dropped three trees on mine. I've since been to the place it was taken to pull parts. The only ones that are kept for any length of time to be salvaged are the Airstreams. If you google rv boneyards or rv boneyards near me you'll be surprised what's in your area.

There are RV salvage yards around. I know of one near Denver and another in Arkansas or Tennessee.

A couple years ago I was looking for some parts for my pop up. Google is your friend.

Try https://www.jaycorvparts.com/

I have used them for a few different parts. Always had them in stock.
