It depends on where we are. If we have neighbors, I want full hookups. I don't like hearing my quiet generator, much less being at the beach hearing everyone's loud generator all day and possibly all night.

We camp in the desert in the winter by ourselves and having the generator run every now and then is good with us. We don't get to stay more than a few days so running out of water is not a concern for us.

When we stay on the beach, I like having full hookups. That doesn't always happen as there are not too many places right on the beach that we like with full hookups. Usually the places on the beach with any hookups get really crowded and are right on top of each other. We will stay at places without hookups just to get some elbow room. I have a Barker tote that I will use to empty the tanks and have nearly double the fresh water that we need. It's usually the grey tank that gets full first.

Full Hookup. Actually just like electric/water sites for the black and grey tanks hold allot but were not much for the boondocking as I get older.
