Brand new here and looking for 40rlts info...

Hi all!

My husband and I put $$ down on land with a 2018 RLTS in our beautiful N GA mountains. We had a walk thru and the 2 fantastic fans didn't work as well as other "minor" things, we were told. The owner told us the A/C wasn't working but he had it replaced 2 days after we saw it.

I'm just wanting to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly about this camper. It's beautiful and I really hope we're getting something wonderful. Is there something that's common to these campers that we need to look for?

Thanks so much and I can't wait to learn more.

By the way, we have owned 2 pop ups, a hybrid and currently own a 2019 Lance 2465. We camp at least 1x/month and are so glad to find this site!

My main advise is get a $40.00 moisture meter. Looking a a camper can't tell you if there is a water leak. A small leak can cause serious unseen rot. Take meter and scan around ALL seams where ceiling meets walls and corner seams. After finding moisture meter I checked my camper and found a corner leak. Pulling exterior skin off what I found was shocking. The whole back wall frame was rotted. Luckily I'm experienced in framing and was able to rebuild.

I read about a moisture meter and told my husband. I'm definitely getting one since you mentioned it also.

Thanks for the info and thanks for the warm welcome!!
