Talking Brand new here. Power converter question.

If a TT battery is very low will it cause the converter to pop the house 20 amp circuit breaker? When I plug in to my house the house breaker breaks immediately if the TT converter break is closed. All the other breakers can be closed and nothing happens. Thought maybe the converter was trying to draw too much amperage for a near dead battery. When I put a charger on the battery it's charging at 30 amps.

I really did try finding the answer before I posted.

It doesn't make sense that a load from the converter would bypass a 15A breaker in the TT and trip a 20A breaker at the house panel......unless there are other loads already on your house 20A breaker.

Have you tried connecting the TT to the house with your battery disconnected?

You are a prince! Your suggestion was tried and while it didn't directly fix the problem it led me to explore a little more and WE ( that's you and me) found the problem. The outlet I was using in the garage turned out to be a GFIC and we know what happens when a surge hits a GFIC. It trips immediately. Changed outlets and everything is working.
Thank you very much. I'm sure I'll have a lot more questions.

Nice detective work! Hopefully the battery can be salvaged....they don't like going below 12V for very long...
