Luckily these are lithium, with rooftop solar so should be fine. I’ll be sure to do the winterizing before I bring it in.

Tried to get it swapped for another unit, but the saleswoman says she couldn’t get another one and they sold the last 3 they had this week.

Will they let you upgrade and pay the difference?

Not possible, apparently. We got one of the last few 2018’s they had and it was $7000 Canadian off the sticker price. Don’t really want to spend more, specially since we were in the market for a used unit when we found this one.

In fact, the first “show” unit we walked through was so poorly finished we refused to take that one. It had a crooked bathroom door, loose panelling, slide walls were so crooked diagonally they looked ridiculous. They only had 3 units at the time we were shopping and we chose the “best” one. LoL

Definitely not normal. Almost as though they forgot a stud or two.

Agreed. I do not believe this to be a bowed stud. I can't see a 2x2 bowing in just the center and/ or being strong enough to pull in the aluminum.

It got dented in someone's yard and they all hoped you wouldn't notice

But the aluminum siding is pristine. No evidence of trauma whatsoever.

I didn't say I had all the answers ;-)
The dent could have been by something that was foam wrapped
when a stud bends, it bends from end to end, not dramatically in the middle as this appears to be. To my eyes, it's more of a localized dent

I was thinking a person could've fallen into it. I could totally see that happening if it was in a yard, and someone fell into the side, the damage would look a lot like that. But then again, the lack of any marks or creases in any of the aluminum doesn't really make sense even in my scenario. Even if someone fell against it, the corrugations in the aluminum would crease.

I just got up onto the roof for the first time. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. This is supposed to be a brand new trailer.

Not even the hardest scrubbing with 5 different products would get the stains out.

Wow, never seen a new roof that looked like that. Was it parked under trees on the lot?

According to the dealer, it came from their “off site storage area” whatever that means. She also said they don’t wash the roofs before they go out.

I’ve had two trailers, a 1997 and a 2014. Both had immaculate white roofs you could almost eat off of. This is just ridiculous. Spent the day scrubbing yesterday and could not get the black stains off for the life of me.

A new owner should not have to worry about their roof looking 30 years old right off the lot. Not a happy camper.

I agree it should not be like that but at least you got it clean in the last pic and also had a opportunity to inspect all the seams and openings. A EPDM roof will always eventually get stains and such but other than seams or bad luck, they are pretty sturdy.

It looks like someone has added a little fresh caulk in a few places?

Like I said, my last two TTs roofs were like-new, gleaming white, even after many years.

I always keep my stuff looking brand new and I can’t understand how it could have gotten so dirty.

I cleaned it, yes, but the black stains still cover the entire surface and I honestly can’t tell if the roof is tan or white. It’s terrible.

I can't explain it either since a 2018 should have been built no more then about 15 months ago at the earliest as new model years usually begin in April or May. There should be a build date on the sticker. In any event it should not be that dirty. A roof that bad usually is accompanied by severe black streaking on the siding as well, it they may have cleaned that up for showing.

Is there any product that will bring back the like-new condition? I tried TSP, Bleach, rubber roof cleaner, mildew remover, Magic Eraser, Spray 9 (worked best)

Nothing gave me the results I was looking for. Any suggestions?

It was built in December 2017

So it's only 7 months old. That's hard to fathom being that dirty.

I purchased a new fifth wheel before this one, SOB and the roof had boot prints in it that must have been done when the adhesive was still wet. It dried that way.

Never got it out and just had the dealer note the situation. It never caused a problem.
