Bunk beds

Any one out there with suggestions on what i can do for my bunks on my 26bh to make it safe for my kids(3 year old on the top bunk, and 1 year old on the bottom). The beds are large, but i would hate for them to roll off..
I thought about cargo nets( like the grocery nets style in back of SUV's) but i think they would stretch and still allow the boys to fall....

They make bed rails for kids that are held in place by poles/?? that extend under the mattress. I bought one for my granddaughter at a Baby's R Us.

Yes, we have those for home but they will not work with the 26bh as the bunks only have a 30" wide opening at the corner of the mattress.

I'll be following this. Three trips so far in our 26BH with my 7 y.o. in the single wide top bunk w/out a rail. My wife and I discussed buying a railing system, but couldn't find anything that would work off the shelf. I've seen pictures of custom made railings online, but haven't made my own. If someone has a good railing system for the thin top bunk please share.

Made ours from pvc to fit our bunks in our WhiteHawk 30 DSQB....they turn and go back under the mattress....length is whatever you want to make it.

Four 90 degree elbows...four "T's"....one stick of pvc, whatever size you want to make it...and a can of spray paint.....probably less than $10.

I made a ladder so our 6 yr old can get on the top bunk. I put hooks on it that hook over the top bunk. The ladder is high enough over the bunk that it should also serve as a rail to help keep him from rolling out. If you also need a ladder this may be an option.

Another good idea. Do you have a picture?

This is how we keep our 21 mo. Old on his bunk. I added a cleat to the wall on the left and have a short piece of cord to keep him from pulling it on himself. The mattress holds it in place for the most part, only have 1 of the legs on it under the mattress and we just slide it to the rear of the bunk to get in and out. Looks like your tt bunk is curved so maybe this won't work but hopefully this will inspire you.
