Bunk mattress upgrade

I am interested to upgrade our bunk mattresses in our 2014 jay flight 29 QBH. We have found the new teddy bear series mattress offered by jayco to be quite reasonable. In addition, we have found them to be affordable through our local dealer. However, the shipping cost is ridiculous. They are charging $150 to ship a $125 mattress. My question: does anyone have a suggestion for a mattress upgrade (under $200) for a 28x74 and 37x74 mattresses? Or, do you any suggestions how to get the shipping more sensible on the teddy bear series.

Thank you fdhealy4. Lippert wants to charge $225 for shipping. Pure craziness. But, it all seems competitive. I quoted UPS today and they were $140. I am visiting a local mattress shop who claims they can work with King koil to custom build any size I like. They also claim they can get under $250. We'll see.

Take a look at this company if you want a foam mattress. I ordered one from them and was very satisfied. I believe their shipping was free or if it wasn't it was very reasonable.

Mattresses - Latex, Poly, Memory Foam Beds and Mattress Toppers...

Do a search in your area for a foam shop. They will have lots of foam to choose from. Different firmness, thickness, memory foam.....
And they can custom cut it to any size you want.

Alternatively buy a couple of foam mattress toppers and cut them to size yourself. I know as soon as our kids get a little bigger they will need better mattresses on the bunks in our trailer too.

We have used these guys in the past.

They custom cut all the cushions and mattresses in an old used trailer we bought. They are in Calgary but you should have something similar in your neck of the woods.

The wife and I use a Memory Foam topper on ours. We bought it at Kohl's and cut it to fit. I added a Thermarest foam pad under the mattress since my hip will "Bottom-Out" when sleeping on my side.
