Buying a Truck to tow my 2009 31BHDS

Looking for some advice on a Pickup. Ford, Dodge, Chevy? Going for something under 20K that I'll also be using as my regular vehicle, so good MPH is a plus. The GVWR on my RV is 9850, but I travel pretty empty, except for clothes and one 30G propane tank. Glad to be here and thanks for any suggestions!

Under $20 K? LOL good luck. Or are you looking for late model low mileage?

TY I'm looking for 2009-2014 with around 100K mileage and have seen them in my price range. Just wondering what brand those here have had a good experience with.

Firstly Google "Can I tow this" and use the app to look for trucks that will tow what you have. I strongly suggest that you buy something bigger. You will be upgrading within a year or two and buying larger will help you not having to buy a new truck with the new trailer that you upgrade to. Spend the money and go diesel. You will be needing that before you know it.

20K on a truck is pie in the sky and with a diesel it is unreasonable. You will not find a low mileage truck gas or diesel for that money. My 2004 with 115K went for $20K 5 years ago. Good Luck!

Any of the big 3 would be fine as they all have proven gas power plants. Chevy's 6.0L, Fords 6.2L and Dodges 5.7L. Diesel would probably more unless it's in the 200k mileage arena.

I'm not sure of where you are located, but be very careful with any used truck that came out of the north east. Carefully check rust prone areas including the frame.

34’ and 1100-1400lb hitch(don’t believe brochure weights). You need to be looking at gas 250/2500s.
