"Everyone told me they won't normally budge from the 20-25% rule unless you are getting it built?"

As General Kelly told the media, get some better sources.

a salesperson isn't a reliable source of pricing or discount information.

Maybe we could summarize that by saying 'a salesperson isn't a reliable source of information.'

Good questions from Sundancer, is it "out the door" for that price?

Thank you all for the advice. We decided to walk away from it. I appreciate everyone's input on the topic!

I think you made the right choice, to many good deals to be had this time of year during model change over.

In your first post, IIRC, you said you really liked the trailer and the floorplan so you are walking away only because of the price, correct? If so, then consider making them a lowball offer after a week or so.

Who knows. It's not prime selling season now and it's approaching the end of October. Maybe the dealer will not relish the idea of holding on to it all winter and then trying to sell a year-old, hail-damaged trailer next spring.

Let me give you some advice - don't bother stopping in a Camping World again.

I bought two Jayco's this year and paid 35% off, and 33% off, respectively. No damage on either one.

There's good and bad in all professions. Fastest way to be packing their bags for my sales guys is to lie or mislead.
