Camper Flex

Have you ever wondered how much campers flex as they go down the road? I didn't, either, until I set up a camera and watched the playback.

I was going about 40 until I pulled off onto our street.

While I don't deny there is flex I think the slide only works to amplify it, if there was no slide I don't think you'd see as much flex while rolling down the road.

After all the miles I've traveled I can't believe there's anything left!

That would be interesting to compare. I expected the shake and the shimmy but nothing like what even the counter does. Gives a new appreciation for the engineering that goes into these things.

If I do it again, I should put a partially filled bottle of water on the counter and see what it takes to get it to slide off.

Gives me an idea! I'll try to get a video of this on our July trip for our 26BH which doesn't have a slide out....

Those items on the bed didn't move. I usually ask the DW what moved or fell during the trip and usually the answer is nothing, or the paper towels fell over. LOL.

I agree, the slide is really the only thing that flexes the majority of the time but some bumps/humps are bigger than others. LOL
